M&R (mrprint.com) announces the latest addition to its i-Dot line of garment inkjet printers, the i-Dot 2100. According to M&R, the printer produces exceptional results on white and light garments at print speeds up to 35% faster than other digital textile printers, and the included i-Pak Bulk Ink System supports a dual-CMYK print engine that increases print speed while reducing ink costs. M&R’s Absolute Position Technology (APT) is designed to support repeatable registration and includes a servo amplifier, PLC controller, and a servomotor-driven linear actuator. Also included in the i-Pak Bulk Ink System is the i-Dot startup kit that includes eight i-Clean cartridges for printhead flushing, startup containers of i-Tack pallet adhesive, and i-Clean solution for cleaning individual printheads and dampers and for general printer maintenance. i-Dot comes with a 14 x 20.5-in. (355 x 521-mm) platen but is capable of printing images up to 16 x 20 in. (406 x 508 mm) on 100 % cotton, 50/50 blends, and some polyester fabrics.
