Bart Fret joins GMG Americas as Director of Sales, Large Format
GMG Americas, a developer and supplier of high-end color management software solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bart Fret (Bart.Fret@gmgcolor.com) to the position of director of sales, Large Format. He will be responsible for introducing GMG color software — most specifically GMG ProductionSuite — to companies that produce signs and displays throughout North and South America.
Bart brings a wealth of color management and large format expertise to GMG, with more than 12 years’ experience in various roles within the graphic arts industry. He comes to GMG from BMGI bvba where, as owner of the business, he assisted software developers in the definition, development and improvement of new products. In fact, one of his significant assignments this past year at BMGI was supervising the worldwide launch of ProductionSuite for GMG. At PerfectProof Europe NV, he held product, sales and business development roles. Among other achievements, he managed product planning for their proofing product and directed sales initiatives towards large format printers. He began his career providing engineering support at Online Grafics NV. Bart holds a Bachelor degree in Graphic Technologies from the Hogeschool Antwerpen Campus Turnhout.
Bart will be responsible for large format sales throughout the Americas and will report to Joseph Varone, GMG Americas Vice President of Sales. “Because of the unique capabilities of GMG ProductionSuite software —combining both strong workflow and color management capabilities—it continues to gain momentum in the marketplace. GMG is ready to build a support team dedicated to introducing ProductionSuite to companies printing with large format devices,” explains Varone. “Drawing from Bart’s vast experience with large format channels, he has successfully guided his customers towards finding the best solutions for their needs. That, and his extensive product knowledge, provides the perfect pairing of skills necessary to bring the highest possible value to GMG customers throughout the Americas.”
