Jim, a resident of the Nashville area where he was raised, was 59. After working in production-management and quality-control capacities in the textile and printed-circuit industries, Jim served as associate editor of Screen Printing and SITE (Screen Imaging Technology for Electronics) magazines from 1984-1986.
