Maxwell Award recognizes distinguished regional printers.
The Printing Industries of Ohio and northern Kentucky, a local chapter of the Printing Industries of America, has awarded Cincinnati’s KDM P.O.P. with the 29th Maxwell Award. The award is given to a regional print provider that exhibits forward thinking, market leadership, and technical proficiency. KDM has been in business since 1970, initially providing vacuum-formed signage and later moving on to vinyl decals and screen printing, followed by offset printing and then large-format digital printing services. They currently offer six areas of service: P-O-P print solutions, retail environments, merchandising displays, branding solutions (including ecommerce), technology solutions via Intellitrak, and fulfillment. KDM operates a total of six facilities in Cincinnati, Nashville, Tennessee, Atlanta, and Cleveland.
The company has received a number of awards, including being a “fit-friendly” workplace and being recognized as a Top 25 Best Places to Work in the Cincinnati area. KDM also runs a program called Dream Makers, designed to help employees and their families achieve their goals and dreams with the help of a certified “Dream Manager.”
“We greatly appreciate being recognized by our peers in the graphic arts industry as the 2016 Maxwell Award Winner,” says President and CEO Bob Kissel in a release. “My vision for the future of the company is to continue to grow – not just top-line growth, but to grow as a team, assuring that our people grow professionally and personally as well.”
