“We continue to see growing interest in direct printing on bottles as a decoration alternative to paper labels.”
Monvera Glass Décor, the Richmond, California-based provider of screen-printed labels, has announced the completion of its $1.6-million expansion plan. Its new 42,000-square-foot facility has allowed the company to install a third production line (which was rolled out in 2013), increasing production capacity more than 50 percent, and the new location has allowed the firm to be closer to its wine and spirits customers in Sonoma, Napa, and San Francisco.
In addition, Monvera has invested in new technologies along with the move: a Fermac F06 CNC machine for screen-printed wine labels; the addition of second decorating lehr; improved automation; and a spray-coating treatment unit.
“We continue to see growing interest in direct printing on bottles as a decoration alternative to paper labels.” says Caitriona Anderson, Monvera’s VP of sales and marketing. “This expansion allows us to keep up with market demand and service larger accounts. We have already seen a great interest in the unique capabilities that our new printing equipment offers and we’re excited to see where that will lead us in 2014.”
