Version X10 is now available for ProductionHouse, PosterShop, and RIPCenter from ONYX Graphics (www.onyxgfx.com). As Onyx puts it, X10 dramatically simplifies everyday printing tasks, improves profiling processes, and automates the print-and-cut workflow. Onyx also says the new version also offers an improved native PDF, PostScript, and RIP engine for more reliable file handling and reproduction of images from Mac- and Windows-based creative applications. Other features include Quick Set user interface for building workflow automation; 16-bit processing, which is added to the Onyx 32-bit color engine and engineered to improve color while maintaining production speed; job-based RIP options; Job-based RIP options, designed to increase automation and reduce errors by enabling users to manage and build workflows for more complex PDF and PostScript files without changing the default behavior of the RIP; Onyx Links Web-based customer-support integration; and more.
