Roland DGA's VersaEXPRESS RF-640

Eco-solvent inkjet printer includes an ink-switching system that allows for unattended operation.

Designed to provide exceptional print quality and productivity at an affordable price, the VersaEXPRESS RF-640 eco-solvent printer from Roland DGA Corp. (www.rolanddga.com) is a 64-in. machine with top speeds of 521.9 sq ft/hr. The printer uses the company’s Eco-Sol MAX 2 inks, which have been GREENGUARD Gold certified, as well as Intelligent Pass Control to precisely control dot placement and eliminate banding. The RF-640 features the company’s new Ink Switching System, which allows for unattended operation by allowing users to load a backup cartridge that automatically dispenses ink to the printer when the primary cartridge is empty. Also new is Printer Assist, enabling users to manage production, test prints, and cleaning functions directly from an iPad. Other features include front-loading ink cartridges, media-loading levers at the front and back of the printer, and media brackets that simplify loading of heavy media rolls. Roland’s VersaWorks RIP software is included with the printer.
