Inkcups Now (www.inkcupsnow.com) recently debuted the Adjustable Stroke Modification Kit, designed for its B150 pad printer. The B150 is a one-color machine that comes standard with a 150-mm ink cup for printing images up to 140 mm in diameter. For printing smaller images, up to 80 mm in diameter, Inkcups Now says the press can be retrofitted with the Adjustable Stroke Modification Kit to cut supply costs by up to 50%. That company notes that a smaller, 90-mm ink cup minimizes ink usage and explains that a 100 x 250-mm printing plate costs about half the price of a 160 x 360-mm plate.
