Three 64-in. solvent printers.
The enhanced SureColor S-Series line of solvent inkjet printers from Epson America (www.epson.com) features completely new print heads, ink sets, and productivity enhancements. The 64-in. machines feature the company’s new PrecisionCore TFP printhead with variable-size ink droplet technology, greater resistance to head strikes, and a new wave form for improved dot placement and accuracy. Three models are offered: the S30675 CMYK printer with a top quoted production speed of 140 sq ft/hr; the S50675, a dual-CMYK model with optional white and speeds up to 240 sq ft/hr; and the S70675, with a CMYKLcLmLk + Orange color scheme, optional white and metallic, and a top speed of 190 sq ft/hr. The S30675 and 50675 use Epson’s Ultrachrome GS2 ink with a newly formulated cyan, while the S70675 leverages the UltraChrome GSX ink set with a reformulated cyan and light cyan and a new orange ink. Other features include 700-ml ink cartridges, spindle-less media roll loading and take-up reel with support for rolls up to 90 lb, and optional high-capacity support for rolls up to 150 lb.
