One Off Printing - Skate Dek

Posted on Fri, 23 Dec 2005 at 20:47

I am not a printer...I just have a problem that is looking for a solution.

We are interested in producing one-off or at least EXTREMELY LOW quantity skate decks. I figure that we could print sublimination inks using an ink jet printer and then use a heat press that fits the shape of the deck.

If anyone knows about this being done...would love to hear from you.

What I was thinking about doing was, making a 2 molds of the board (top and bottom), creating a design, having a local sign printer print out the design and then using a small press at work and some glue, press the design onto a blank board. Just an idea.
