printing pens (any tips anybody?)

Just joined a screen printing co. using fully automatic presses.
printing on pens is all we do. i have extensive screen printing knowledge, but looking for a few good tips that would make my job more easier.
any tip will be apreciated. please advise on these topics, offcontact from screen to pen and type of squeeges that would give the the best results ect.

I have dealt with static issues in regards to screenprinting and/or inkjet printing on pens for the past several years with BIC. The problem that occurs is that the ink jumps off the pen because of the high charge a pen holds on its surface. To combat this, they had to install several static eliminators (air curtains) to neutralize the pens before they went to printing. You may want to consider such equipment if static starts to become a major issue for you. You can call us to discuss.

I'd like to thank you for your feedback, however is the fine tuning of our printing equipment where i need some help. are there any particular books and /or websites where i can find more information on the printing of pens, and cylindrical shapes, we are often dealing with smeard images can you help ?
