Epson 3000 Printable Area

Posted on Fri, 22 Sep 2006 at 13:07

I have seen conflicting data on the printable area on the Epson 3000. Some say it is approx 12.5 wide and others are saying 16.5" From the technical data on the website, it appears to be able to print on 17"x 44" paper but the print area is only 13".

For example, I could print on a piece of film 17" x 44" but my image would only be 13" x 44". Could anyone clear this up for me before I purchase on. I need prints for designs larger than 13" wide.

thanks

Mark

Someone is confusing this with the 1520.

The 1520 will accept 17" wide paper, but will only print an area 13.5" wide, offset to the right (when facing the printer).

The 3000 will print 16.5" wide on 17" wide paper. Epson driver limits length to 44", but there are a few options to bypass this. Some are tricks, others you just use different software that bypasses the driver. Qimage is one.
