Posted on Fri, 9 Jan 2004 at 5:03

We just recieved the new machine Oce Arizona T220. During the instruction we did some test prints on a various of materials. The macheni is working fine but we notified that the prinout on some materials like glas, is not holding and easy to remove.

What did we wrong and how can we solve this.
(By the way the ink is as the manual advise)

Already thanks,

John,
The reason your having adhesion and whetting problems on glass is surface tension.
Most printers have to flame treat or "corona" treat glass and ceramics to get ink to adhere. The second reason could be that your ink vehicle was not designed for glass,
glass usually requires heat cured enamels for scratch resistance and adhesion, I would discuss this with your ink manufacturer before shipping one more piece, YOU can and WILL be held liable if the imprint falls off.----Thomas Dunn thomasdunn13@comcast.net
