Here's the deal. Since I can't afford to buy all the stuff I need, I make everything. I recently made an exposing unit. Nothing fancy, no vacuum table. I'm using three 15 watt UV bulbs, because I thought I could double later for UV cured inks. I have a darkroom digital timer connected to the ballast and I'm using an instant start commercial ballast. This is my first attempt at photoemulsion, so I bought the cheapest I could get, SpeedBall. I've done darkroom work, and thought there might be a method to get my times. Also, is there a particular distance from light to screen, ahould I coat the light chamber with reflective material, etc... I'm just a hobbyist, but I do a lot of graphics work locally and get a lot of requests for promotional tools and t-shirts. Sure would appreciate some mentoring to head in the right direction.
